Great point! Every Jehovah's Witness member needs a ''bond'', but when it comes to the bonding between the ''Governing Body'' and the ''faithful and discreet slave,'' now that is frowned upon. The ''faithful and discreet slaves'' would cause ''divisions within the congregation and work against the holy spirit.'' No, actually the Governing Body make them go away, just as it is written in paragraph 8........

8 In addition, anointed Christians do not view themselves as being part of an elite club. They do not seek out others who claim to have the same calling, hoping to bond with them or endeavoring to form private groups for Bible study. (Gal. 1:15-17) Such efforts would cause divisions within the congregation and work against the holy spirit, which promotes peace and unity.—Read Romans 16:17, 18.

4. Who will return to life?
Many millions of people who are dead in the grave will return to life on earth. Even some who did not know God and who practiced bad things will be resurrected.—Read Luke 23:43; Acts 24:15.
Resurrected ones will be able to learn the truth about God and to exercise faith in Jesus by obeying him. (Revelation 20:11-13) Those who return to life and do good things will be able to enjoy life forever on earth.—Read John 5:28, 29.

Here is the Watchtower Society's progression of Pirate Black Beard after his resurrection. He is welcomed to ''paradise earth'' after hundreds of years sleeping in his tomb. Black Beard managed to shave his beard before his death, but somehow decided his long sideburns would stay.
He now has a Bible study to learn about God. ( He refuses to shave his sideburns)
Now, he is telling his whales and tales of his history of high seas adventures of looting, pillaging and burning of villages to Armaggedon survivors. ( He refuses to shave his sideburns )
Now, the former Black Beard is shown welcoming new resurrection survivors and teaching the truth about God. ( He finally understands about long sideburns, and how they stumble new members and decides to shave them off )

That was an excellent post. Here is what you stated and the article in which the Society wrote in a Watchtower article ''turning a figuratively bloody coup into a figuratively bloodless coup''.
A campaign to silence those who professed to be of the Annointed was secretly carried out.
The Watchtower successfully cast doubt on all who profess to be of the Annointed and as a result the whole remnant of the 144,000 still on earth was reduced to a bunch of loons distanced from the rank & file.

16 Not all who have the heavenly hope are part of “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matt. 24:45-47) As in the first century, Jehovah and Jesus today are feeding many through the hands of a few. Only a few anointed Christians in the first century were used to write the Christian Greek Scriptures. Similarly today, only a few anointed Christians have been appointed to provide spiritual “food at the proper time.”
13 “Jehovah knows those who belong to him.” (2 Tim. 2:19) Those taking the count at the Memorial cannot judge who truly have the heavenly hope. The number of partakers includes those who mistakenly think that they are anointed. Some who at one point started to partake of the emblems later stopped. Others may have mental or emotional problems that lead them to believe that they will rule with Christ in heaven. Therefore, the number of partakers does not accurately indicate the number of anointed ones left on earth.

You get the sense from all this that the WT really sees the topic of the 144,000 (and partaking at the Memorial) as directly related to their (earthly) rulership over the R&F. And they don't wish to share that with anyone.
Reading some of your posts, you seem to have way more Bible knowledge that I'll ever have. Having said that, are you implying that there are literal, breathing human members on this earth that are part of the 144,000 and that the Governing Body dismiss them so that the ''remnant'' are silenced and put off to the side?
I believe that the Governing Body let members partake and use the numbers to show that the ''remnant'' are real, but deep down they don't really believe they are real or else they would be put to good use.

I don't see a school for the nearly 21,182 ( 2020 yearbook figures) who are called and chosen” to rule with Christ in the Kingdom are referred to as a “little flock.” (Revelation 17:14; Luke 12:32)
If there really were a ''little flock'', wouldn't they have Watchtower Society schools, meetings and teaching programs?
Why aren't they giving talks all over the world? Why didn't I ever see one at my kingdom hall? Why aren't they taking the lead in the ministry work? If some of them are female, why can't they be ministerial servants, elders, and be in on judicial meetings?
For some reason, I think there is no such thing as a ''little flock''.

Another crazy little man with a beard, started in the basement of a church in Pennsylvania in the1870's. He had some crazy ideas too. He thought the world would end in 1879 and then revised this dated to 1914. A hand full of people thought this crazy guy was on to something. Fast forward 150 years and 8 1/2 million people later we find millions of people still waiting/hoping for the world it end any day. The life style of these people who believe in this form of insanity is well, beyond description.

I have not read your book. Somehow, someone in your family was truly convinced. You even made the decision to become a member of the Bethel family. Everyone at Bethel was truly convinced. As wacky as the Mormon religion is, they still have millions of members. Why did you convince yourself that the wacky Jehovah's Witnesses were not wacky, but other religions were?

i think back on the 30+ years of bs as well as my fading almost a decade and even now being low key in person to hopefully save my nieces from the wt.

i'm a wreck in some ways.

i'm other days i'm stable however when it comes to theism i depart quickly and with anger!

I only have myself to blame for the 40 years I was a Witness. Finally decided that I was miserable being a Jehovah's Witnesses. I didn't leave sooner because of family. Hated every minute of the meetings and left only when I told myself to be true to myself. Losing family and friends was a better choice than suffering being a Jehovah's Witness. Surprisingly, they leave me alone and treat me as if I was still a member.

How do you make the Jews God's chosen people, have God fight all your winning battles, have a powerful and all knowing God be so jealous of a measly, mortal Moses taking credit for finding water, that God does not permit him to enter the promised land, strike down and kill Ananias and Sapphira, who held back a puny amount of money? Write a man made construct YHWH in a collection of books that is still taken literal 2000 years later!

WORSHIP
One of the Hebrew words conveying the idea of worship (ʽa·vadhʹ) basically means “serve.” (Ge 14:4; 15:13; 29:15) Serving or worshiping Jehovah required obedience to all of his commands, doing his will as a person exclusively devoted to him. (Ex 19:5; De 30:15-20; Jos 24:14, 15) Therefore, for an individual to engage in any ritual or act of devotion toward any other gods signified his abandoning true worship.—De 11:13-17; Jg 3:6, 7.

Another Hebrew term that can denote worship is hish·ta·chawahʹ, which primarily means “bow down” (Ge 18:2), or do obeisance. (See OBEISANCE.) Whereas such bowing could at times simply be an act of respect or of courteous regard toward another person (Ge 19:1, 2; 33:1-6; 37:9, 10), it could also be an expression of worship, indicating one’s reverence and gratitude to God and submission to his will. When used with reference to the true God or false deities, the word hish·ta·chawahʹ is at times associated with sacrifice and prayer. (Ge 22:5-7; 24:26, 27; Isa 44:17) This would indicate that it was common to bow down when praying or offering sacrifice.—See PRAYER.

The Hebrew root sa·ghadhʹ (Isa 44:15, 17, 19; 46:6) basically signifies “prostrate oneself.” The Aramaic equivalent is usually associated with worship (Da 3:5-7, 10-15, 18, 28), but it is used at Daniel 2:46 to refer to King Nebuchadnezzar’s paying homage to Daniel, prostrating himself before the prophet.
As a father, I never required my children to worship me. I just wanted honor and respect. They never needed to thank me for every meal, clothing that I purchased for them, taking/picking them up from school and doctor visits, paying for their first automobile or their college tuition. They were never made to get on their knees and beg for forgiveness. Punishment was never used to make them see their wrongs, control them or instill fear.
